Student Activities & Facilities

Barone Campus Center, ext. 3288 and 2377

The starting point for getting involved at Fairfield is the Office of Student Activities & Facilities. At the beginning of each semester, the office helps to sponsor a comprehensive activities fair which showcases all the various clubs, organizations, and service opportunities and allows students to sign-up for particular activities or memberships.

The Office of Student Activities & Facilities works with all student groups to sponsor numerous events and activities during the week and on the weekends. It can never be said that there is not something (and often many things) happening on campus for students to attend and participate in. The office also serves as the central clearinghouse for all University events and activities - whether student-related or not - and reserves space and approves events for the University's master calendar. The office publishes the Campus Weekly newsletter advertising the main events for the week, maintains the Events Calendar on the University website, and coordinates broadcast e-mail communications for students, faculty, and staff.

Leadership Development:
The Office of Student Activities & Facilities sponsors numerous workshops and presentations for students to develop their leadership skills. Many of these programs are offered to all students, and specific programs are designed for the Fairfield University Student Association (FUSA) and the Student Organization Board of Governors (SOBOG). Students are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the leadership training and development opportunities available to them.
