Guest Policy
Students are responsible for the conduct of their guests and for ensuring that visitors adhere to University rules and regulations. To that end, student hosts should be with their guests at all times. If guests violate University rules and regulations, the student host or hosts will be subject to disciplinary action, and the guests subject to removal from campus and receiving a criminal trespass warning. All overnight guests must be registered with the University, and they must carry valid, photo identification at all times. Guest passes are available from RAs, other members of the residence life staff, and the Department of Public Safety.
Students should obtain permission from their roommate(s) for a guest to stay through the night. Guests cannot stay beyond three consecutive days without the approval of the Office of Residence Life. Behavior that is intrusive to the privacy of the roommate or roommates is forbidden. In addition, sharing a room with a member of the opposite sex is prohibited, and no student can either request or agree to such an arrangement. |
