Doing Business in Europe Fairfield University Study Abroad - Your Passport to the World
Hosted by ESC Rouen - Rouen School of Management
June 1-8, 2008
A Charles F. Dolan School of Business program for MBA students
The medieval city of Rouen, France offers an intriguing setting for a very modern-day exploration of current European business practices. Rouen, founded in 911, is home to magnificent gothic cathedrals, museums, and half-timbered houses. The city is also associated with Joan of Arc, who was burned at the stake in the city's marketplace in 1431. Much of Rouen was destroyed during World War II, but a careful program of conservation has preserved the medieval character of the city. Paris is an hour away by train.
ESC-Rouen is the host institution for our program. Created in 1871, the Rouen School of Management (ESC) is the second oldest business school in France. With its emphasis on training managers and leaders capable of winning international markets - an aim which has been central to the mission of the School since its foundation - the Rouen School of Management has maintained its reputation for excellence as one of France's leading management schools.
Facilities at or nearby ESC-Rouen include a library, media center and computer labs.
Fairfield University, a Jesuit institution, is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The Fairfield University Dolan School of Business is accredited by AACSB - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
