This course provides the general working knowledge and skills needed to Progress from the basic garment construction methods to custom tailoring That utilizes traditional techniques and experiment with design as it applies to tailored garments. Emphasis will be on: the application of shape to the garment through design and pressing techniques; development of the awareness of the relationship between human form and the design and form of the apparel; and awareness of the type of fabric in relation to draping form. Prerequisites: Concurrent enrollment in Apparel Design.
