This course introduces students to basic printmaking processes and equipment. A variety of print media are covered including: monotype, relief, intaglio and lithography. There will be equal emphasis on concept and technique. Students will work on the development of multiples and one-of-a-kind images. Slide lectures will provide students with a brief history of printmaking from Renaissance times to the present day.
