Students will further improve communication and language skills in this class, focusin on self-expression. During the course students will focus on verb agreement and will deal with complex grammatical structures in speech. Attention will be placed on prepositions, with focus being given to particular usage. The course will also involve studying types of coordination and subordination, with exercises elaborating the various types. Various linguistic abilities will be developed and reinforced with the use of authentic didactic materials. Students will give clear detailed descriptions and presentations on a wide range of a subjects, expanding and supporting their ideas. Students will also begin reading with a large degree of independence, learning to scan long texts. * Placement Test Req.
