Introduction to Jewelry Design

This course introduces students to the creative practices of jewelry design. The process begins with the execution of the design through the use of orthographic projections, three-quarter views and technical layout, and is followed by representational drawings using watercolor, pen and ink, tempera-gouache or pastels. Students will explore the practical rendering applications and techniques used in jewelry making in order to better understand the planning stage of their initial designs and the design’s feasibility as a rendered object. *Lab Fee Required
