This course provides a survey of major concepts and issues in international relationships from 1919 to the present day, together with discussion of how and why things happen in the international state system. Issues include: imperialism, anarchy, the cold war, decision making in foreign policy, national interests and world organizations, theories of cooperation and conflict, international security and arms control, international law and international economic relations. *Field Trip Fee Req.
