Any student that wishes to live on the beach or off campus must participate in the OCB Lottery in order to be considered for a release from the housing contract. All surveys for the OCB Lottery must be submitted via your StagWeb account by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2007. NO SURVEYS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER OCTOBER 24. Do not wait until the last day to submit your survey.
All groups approved for off-campus living will be given until Thursday, January 31, 2008 to find off-campus accommodations. If groups have not been successful in doing so, they will be eligible to sign up for the remaining on-campus housing lotteries.
Getting released off campus is not guaranteed. You CANNOT sign a lease or any other rental agreement until after October 29, 2007. If you sign a lease and are not released off campus you will be financially responsible for on-campus housing and your lease agreement.
Members of the classes of 2009 and 2010, who are in good standing, are eligible to participate in the OCB Lottery. If you have a question about your class year, please contact your academic dean.
If you are a member of the class of 2009 and are currently released off campus you do not need to reapply.
The OCB survey is located on your StagWeb page under "Surveys and Applications." Groups can be no larger than four people. Only one person per group needs to fill out the survey. Make sure that person has all the correct information for everyone involved with the group. When the survey has been successfully input you will receive a system-generated e-mail to your StagWeb e-mail account. If you do not receive an e-mail please contact the Office of Residence Life at (203) 254-4215.
