Meet Your Area Coordinator
Elissa Pelland: AreaCoordinator, graduated from Quinnipiac University with a BA in Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology. She then received her MS in Applied Educational Psychology with a concentration in College Student Development from Northeastern University in Boston. While working on her MS, Elissa was a Graduate Assistant at Bentley College in the Student Activities Office for two years. At Bentley she co-advised the Campus Activities Board, worked with and supervised Student Center employees, and implemented training sessions for student leaders and employees. Elissa also had an internship at Brown University where she was a Community Director for the Summer at Brown Program. During her final two semesters she worked at Massachusetts College of Art in the Dean of Students Office where she worked on various projects including revising the Student Code of Conduct and Community Standards. At Fairfield, Elissa oversees the Campion Hall including the staff, programming, and community building efforts.
Meet Your Resident Assistants
Melissa Minai: Melissa is a returning member to our staff and a Nursing major. She is from Roseland, NJ and was born on January 12. She enjoys the television show "Grey's Anatomy" and the book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. Melissa enjoys shopping, reading, and cooking. She also takes part in The Sounds (a Capella group) and SNA (Student Nurse Association) on campus.
Jeffrey Seiser: Jeff is a sophomore and this is his first year as a Resident Assistant. He is from Torrington, CT and was born on March 10. Jeff is a History major with a Secondary Education minor. He serves as the President of the class of 2010 currently. His enjoys the movie "Braveheart", playing sports, camping, participating in community service, and exercising.
Mary Sullivan: Mary is from Mahopac, NY and is a junior. This is her second year as a Resident Assistant. She is an English and Politics major and is working toward a minor in Italian. Mary was born on October 30. She plays varsity lacrosse. Mary recommends the classes "Women in Work in Sport" with Professor Rose Rodrigus and "Business and Technical Writing" with Professor Jennifer Lee Magas.
Nicholas Valaris: Niko is a senior and this is his second year as a Resident Assistant. He is from Southington, CT and was born on August 23. Niko is a Politics and Economics double major and has a minor in Spanish. Niko enjoys weight lifting and participating in community service. He recommends classes taught by Dr. Deak and likes the movie "Christmas Vacation".
Stephanie Accino: Stephanie is a junior and a second year Resident Assistant. She is from Stamford, CT and her birthday is July 25. She is working toward a double major in Psychology and Sociology. Her favorite class was Sociology of the Family. Stephanie lives by the quote "Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you'll land amongst the stars!" (Les Brown)
William McPherson: Will is a sophomore and new to our staff. He is from Hingham, MA and his birthday is December 12. His majors are Biology and English with a minor in Classical Studies. His favorite TV shows are "Lost" and "Heroes". On campus, Will is involved in the Hockey Team, Club Lacrosse, FUSA Programming, and Intramurals.
Katerine Boutros: Katie is the Senior Resident Assistant of Campion and is from Orange, CT. Her birthday is August 28. She is a Communication major and has a minor in English. Katie's most moving moment during her time at Fairfield was her Service trip to Kentucky last March. She enjoys watching "Grey's Anatomy", reading, and being a Resident Assistant. She was an intern for the Office of Residence life this past summer.
