The Village Apartment Complex

The Village Apartment Complex, located in the southeast end of campus, is the newest student residence on campus and contains forty-eight, 4-person units. The complex sits adjacent to Kostka Hall and Claver Hall and is a very short walk to the libary, Bannow Science Center, and Dolan School of Business.

Apartment units consist of four single bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, dining area, and bathroom. Apartments are centrally air-conditioned and climate-controlled. Apartments are equipped with the following:

  • Beds
  • Desks
  • Desk chairs
  • Wardrobes/closets
  • Chests of drawers
  • Living room couch and loveseat or chair
  • End table and bookshelves
  • Kitchen table and chairs
  • Cable TV connections
  • Telephone line (which the residents share but can set-up private voicemail)
  • Computer network connections in all bedrooms

Apartment residents must provide their own lamps, cooking utensils, dishes, and cleaning supplies.

Living in the apartments provides students with an opportunity to learn self-responsibility and shared-responsibility. These responsibilites are outlined in the Village Area Bill of Rights. To view the Bill of Rights click here.

Residents are responsible for preparing their own meals (a limited meal plan option is available and popular with students). Due the climate-controlled environment, utility costs are included in the apartment rental charges.

The Village Apartment Complex has two Residental Assistants and an Area Coordinator who live in the Apartment Complex. Their main roles include aiding in the building of community, as well as acting as a resource to the students in this semi-independent living environment. Living in the Apartment Complex is limited to seniors and juniors on a space-available basis.
