Campus Parking Regulations
Parking Office
Location: Loyola Hall Ground floor (building #8 on the parking map) immediately outside the Department of Public Safety.
Hours of Operation: (September through May) Monday through Thursday - 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (June through August) Monday through Thursday - 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays - 8 a.m. to noon.

Vehicle Registration
All vehicles entering campus must be registered with the Parking Office. Instructions for registering your vehicle can be found in your Stagweb account. The vehicle registration form is located under Fairfield Bookmarks or Campus Life.
Part-time Students: May register their vehicles at the Parking Office or after hours in the Department of Public Safety at any time. A state vehicle registration and proof of enrollment are required at the time of registration. Any student taking 11 credits or less is considered part time.
Graduate Students: May register their vehicles at the Parking Office or after hours in the Department of Public Safety at any time. A state vehicle registration and proof of enrollment are required at the time of registration.
*If your vehicle is leased, an insurance card will be necessary in addition to the state vehicle registration
Resident Student Parking
Quad Students will receive a red vehicle registration decal. Vehicles displaying red decals may only park in lots E1, E2 and E3.
Townhouse Students will receive a yellow vehicle registration decal. Vehicles displaying yellow decals may only park in lots P1 and O2.
Village Complex Students (includes Kostka, Claver & the Apartments) will receive a gold vehicle registration decal. Vehicles displaying gold decals may only park in lots I1, I2 and I3. Green lot, K2, is the overflow lot for Village Complex students. Dolan Residents will receive a gray vehicle registration decal. Vehicles displaying gray decals may only park in lot O2.
First Year Resident Students are not permitted vehicles. Those students who have been approved under the strict guidelines of the Director of Public Safety will be issued an orange vehicle registration decal. Vehicles displaying an orange vehicle registration decal may only park in lot O2.
Off-campus Undergraduates, Graduates and University College Parking
Full time students residing off campus, University College and graduate students will be issued green vehicle registration decals. Those vehicles displaying green decals may only park in lots C1, H1, K1, K2, N1, O1, O2. In addition, purple lots M1, M2, M3 and all blue lots except B1, B2, R2 & U1 are available between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Fairfield College Preparatory School (Fairfield Prep)
Fairfield Prep seniors will be issued purple decals and they will be permitted to park in lot M2. Lots M3 and R2 are available to all other Prep students. If driving a different car please stop into Public Safety or the House Master's office to obtain a temporary permit before the start of class.
Visitor Parking
Visitor parking is located in lots B2, B3, D1, F2 and F4. Parking in all other locations requires a temporary parking pass which can be obtained in the Parking Office during regular hours or in the Department of Public Safety any time day or night.
Faculty and Staff Parking
Registered faculty/staff members may park in all lots except B1, B2, B3, I1, I2, I3, M1, O2, S1,T1, U1 and directly in front of Townhouse building 15. Lots designated in blue on the parking map are restricted to faculty and staff members between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Lot M1 is restricted to Prep and Media Center faculty and staff only.
Appealing a Parking Citation
The Traffic Appeals Board, which consists of students appointed by the FUSA Chief Justice, is empowered to hear appeals of traffic and parking violations.
Traffic appeal forms are located outside the parking office and must be submitted with the ticket within 10 days. Any appeals submitted after the 10 days will be returned to the violator for payment. The decision of the appeal board is final and notification will be sent through the Parking Office. Tickets may not be re-appealed.
Please note: tickets issued for unauthorized by permit are not appealable.
Chronic Violators
Please register your vehicle. Those vehicles that accumulate five or more tickets for being unregistered will be immobilized. The immobilization unit will not be removed until the vehicle is registered and a promissory note signed.
Please park legally. Those vehicles accumulating five tickets for parking illegally will be subject to modified parking regulations. Additional tickets will result in a $50.00 surcharge in addition to the regularly published fine schedule and the vehicle will be towed from locations not assigned to that vehicle. All towing expenses are the responsibility of the owner.
Employee Commute Option Program
Fairfield University complies with the E.C.O. Program provisions of the Clean Air Act of 1986. ECOP is an incentive based program designed to encourage faculty and staff members to use alternate means of transportation.
