Edward J. Deak, Ph.D., issues forecast for Connecticut economy
November 6, 1999As we head into a new millennium, we are pleased to send you a summary version of the Connecticut Economic Outlook by Dr. Edward J. Deak, chair of the Economics Department at Fairfield University and Connecticut Model Manager for the New England Economic Project (NEEP).
While Dr. Deak sees a continuation of the upward trend in the economy, he cautions that the expected decline in the size of the labor force in Connecticut and the possibility of a tightening of the Fed Monetary policy and Y2K related disruptions, could slow the pace.
