Changing a School or Major
In order to change majors, students have to do the following:
- Obtain a change of major form from the Registrar's Office
- Meet with the chair of the department of the major they are interested in
- Get approvals from the chairs and area coordinators of the current major and of the proposed major
In order to change schools, students have to do the following:
- Obtain a change of school form from the Office of Exploratory Academic Advising or from the dean of the school they would like to move to
- Get approvals from the deans of their current school and of their proposed school
- Have an overall GPA of 2.80 (to switch to the Dolan School of Business)
- Have an overall GPA of 2.80, have completed PY 163 and CH 84 with the required grades, and have the approval of the School of Nursing (to switch to the School of Nursing)
- Meet with an assistant or associate dean at that school (to switch to the College of Arts and Sciences or the School of Engineering)
