RCADE offers workshops in digital applicatons to Fairfield University students, faculty and staff. The lab is open during the times posted below except during special events and workshops.

RCADE shares the Media Center's 15,000 square foot facility,
on the ground floor of Xavier Hall with its:
• Digital Imaging lab and classroom
• Advanced Digital Editing Suite
• Studio B Audio Suite
• Multimedia Conference room
• Projection Screening Room and
• AMES (equipment loans/repairs)

Digital Imaging Lab
This Lab is where RCADE workshops as well as media classes are held. Its 16 Apple G5 workstations (with 10.4 Tiger operating system) are loaded with the most current image editing and multimedia authoring software.

Advanced Editing Suite
With its eight Apple G5 workstations, this room is used specifically for video editing. Each station is equipped with Final Cut Pro, Avid Express, Apple iLife, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS2, and DVD Studio Pro.

Audio Production Suite
This is a production suite with a sound booth and a full array of microphones, mixers and sound editing software like Pro Tools and Apple's Logic Pro 7.

Multimedia Conference Room
This versatile room seats 15 and has a multimedia console with Internet access and a large screen.

Projection Screen Room
With its large screen and rear projector, this 30-seat theatre-style room is set up for optimal movie viewing for film study classes.

Media Equipment Loans
AMES (Academic Media Equipment Services) can provide digital video cameras and mini disc or tape recorders. Equipment must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance. For more information, call ext. 2593.
