Senior Seminar Series
We know that when you’re a senior you tend not to want to think about your life after Fairfield and just enjoy the moment. We encourage you to enjoy your last year but we also don’t want you to be super stressed come graduation time because you’re still not sure how to start the job search process. That’s why we’ve created a series of programs to answer some of the most important questions seniors have.
What is the Senior Seminar Series?
The Senior Seminar Series is a series of events that focuses on major issues students face as they prepare for life after graduation. These events give seniors a chance to engage with the staff at the Career Center as well as outside experts to get the information they need in order to prepare for their next step.
Senior Seminar topics can include:
- Finding an apartment in NYC
- Evaluating benefits and job offers
- Backpack to Briefcase - This event is co-sponsored with the Student Alumni Association and features recent alumni sharing their advice. Beer, wine, and appetizers are always served.

Who: Anyone in their senior year, and we also welcome go-getter juniors. However, Backpack to Briefcase is only open to seniors. We have had participants from all majors, schools, and career interests.
