Alumni Job Shadow Program
Do you have a potential career in mind but would like to know more about the day-to-day aspects of the job? Participating in the Alumni Job Shadow Program can give you valuable insights into a potential career path.
What is the Alumni Job Shadow Program?
The Alumni Job Shadow Program is designed to give junior and senior students at Fairfield the unique opportunity to get an inside view of a particular profession or industry that is of interest to them near their hometown during winter break. Students apply for the program in the fall semester. Alumni mentors who participate in this program help students to see firsthand how skills learned in the classroom relate to the workplace while also building a network of alumni contacts.
Alumni Job Shadow activities can include:
- Overview of a company, industry, and job
- Internship opportunities
- Introduction to the alumni's colleagues
- Learning more about the alumni's personal career path
- Exploring career options and goals

Where: Where the alumnus/na works or a mutually agreed-upon meeting place.
How to Participate: Unfortunately, the deadline has passed. Seniors should make appointments with Career Planning to discuss other options of networking with alumni. Sophomores and juniors should plan to appy next fall.
