How do I request a book/movie/music item for delivery?

You must first sign up for the service. Please submit the activation form.

Using the Library Catalog:

Any circulating items you find the in the library catalog can be delivered by clicking the "Request it" button and follow the on-screen instructions. If you have signed up for the delivery service, the item(s) will be automatically processed for delivery on our next scheduled delivery day.

You can request multiple items by clicking on the "Add to cart" button for each item. Once you have added all the items in your cart, click on "My Cart" on the top-right corner. Make sure the items you want are selected, and click the "request it" button to batch request the items for delivery.

If you're signed up for the delivery service but want to come to the library and pick up the item(s) yourself, just send us a quick e-mail at circdesk@fairfield.edu.

How do I request an article or book chapter from the library's collection for delivery?

It's easy to request an article via Document Delivery. Click on this link Request Print/Microform Articles from DNL (Document Delivery). You will be prompted for your Net ID Username and Password. This page may be familiar to you as it is the same one you use for InterLibrary loan. Click on New and then Article on the left hand side. Complete the form. You will be notified by e-mail when the electronic document is available for viewing.

How will I receive my items?

You must have a staffed deliverable location on campus such as your office or your secretary's office.

Request your items through our catalog and we will do the rest.

Up to 5 items will be delivered to your office at a time.

How will it be delivered to me and not placed on a hold shelf in the library?

When you sign up for library delivery service, a notation is made on your library record alerting the circulation staff that your items should be delivered directly to your office or your secretary's office.

How do I request a return of my library materials?

How can I verify that my return was received?

You can login to My Account on the DiMenna-Nyselius Library home page. You can see the materials checked out to you.

When are items delivered?

Delivery is made once a day Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Deliveries may be skipped due to Inclement weather.
