Print
Printing from library computers in the Kelly Information Commons and computers labs 250 and 115 is managed via a vended printing system, StagPrint.
StagPrint is the name of a campus-wide debit card printing system that is designed to minimize laser-printing waste and rising costs by promoting responsible printing. The StagPrint system provides the university community with fast, secure, cost-effective, and quality laser printing while taking into consideration the basic printing needs of students.
StagPrint works by using your university StagCard debit card in combination with the swipecard readers and print stations located in the library and computer labs on campus. Full-time students will receive $25 value in their StagPrint account for each fall or spring semester. Printing beyond the $25 threshold will be debited from your StagBucks at 10 cents per page when using single-page printing, 14 cents per sheet of paper for duplex (double-sided) printing, i.e. 7 cents for each side. Color printing is available in the Information Commons at the library, and the color printing cost is 25 cents per page. The $25 allowance for full-time students was determined by an extensive review of similar print programs at dozens of other colleges and universities. For more information see the following links:
StagPrint is a joint project by the staff of the DiMenna-Nyselius Library, Computing and Network Services, and the StagCard Office. Vendor selection and contract negotiation was coordinated by the Purchasing Department.
