Group Study Room Reservation Policy
Please dial (203) 254-4000 ext. 2462 to reserve a Group Study Room. The desk assistant will be able to help you decide on the type and size of room to best meet your needs.
Policy:
Only currently enrolled students and Fairfield University alumni may reserve group study rooms, with the exception that professors may reserve group study rooms for their students. Alumni may use the rooms at any time the library is open, except after 6 p.m. on weekdays.
- At least two people must use the room together to qualify for a reservation.
- Rooms may be signed out for a maximum of 2 consecutive hours.
- Rooms may be reserved over the phone, and a valid Fairfield University ID number must be given (for alumni, the library card number is required).
- Only professors may make long-term, regularly scheduled reservations for group study rooms 304 (accommodates 14-16 persons) & 314 (accommodates 14-16 persons). The reservations must be made for the use of students in their classes.
- Patrons requiring a room equipped with a DVD player, VCR, or TV must reserve a room equipped for media (Rooms 312 (accommodates 14-16 persons) & 317 (accommodates 6-8 persons); long-term: 314 (accommodates 14-16 persons).
- If you require cable TV, request Room 314. Exceptions to the long-term sign-up policy can be made for these requirements.
- Rooms 302 (accommodates 6-8 persons), 303 (accommodates 6-8 persons), 308 (accommodates 6-8 persons), 324 (accommodates 14-16 persons), 325 (accommodates 6-8 persons) and 326 (accommodates 6-8 persons) should be used, in general, for group work that requires neither media equipment nor long-term, regularly scheduled access.
