StagPrintStagPrint is the name of a new campus-wide debit card printing system that is designed to minimize laser-printing waste and rising costs by promoting responsible printing. The StagPrint system provides the university community with fast, secure, cost-effective, and quality laser printing while taking into consideration the basic printing needs of students.
StagPrint works by using your university StagCard debit card in combination with the swipecard readers and print stations located in the Library and Computer Labs on campus. Full-time students will receive 200 copies as a free allocation in their StagPrint account for the fall semester. Printing beyond the 200-copy threshold will be debited from your StagBucks at 10 cents per page. The 200-copy allowance for full-time students was determined by an extensive review of similar print programs at dozens of other colleges and universities.
StagPrint is a joint project by the staff of the DiMenna-Nyselius Library, Computing and Network Services, and the StagCard Office. Vendor selection and contract negotiation was coordinated by the Purchasing Department.
