This directory lists only those scholarships, grants, fellowships and loans that are available to Fairfield University students. Freeman-ASIA
This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students for study in Asian and Southeast Asian countries for summer, semester and academic-year programs. Students are expected to help promote study abroad programs in Asia and Southeast Asia upon return to the United States. Scholarships are awarded based on financial needs.

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholarships
The DAAD New York office, founded in 1971, supports academic exchanges between the U.S., Canada, and Germany and offers a broad range of scholarships, grants and fellowships in Germany for U.S. and Canadian citizens, from undergraduate students to post-doctoral scholars as well as faculty and higher education professionals. Over 50,000 individuals per year are awarded scholarships by DAAD.

Morris K. Udall Scholarship
This foundation awards $5,000 scholarships to college sophomores and juniors who commit to studying the environment and related fields as well as to Native American and Alaskans in health care- or tribal public policy-related fields.

NSEP/David L. BorenUndergraduate Scholarships
This program offers opportunities for U.S. undergraduates to study abroad. These scholarships are awarded to American students for study of world regions critical to U.S. interests. The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded.

Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship
This program funds study abroad for both undergraduate and graduate students of those countries in which there are Rotary clubs. For eligibility, rules, and details please see website.

Saint Andrew's Scholarship Programs
Saint Andrew's University in Scotland offers scholarships to American students of Scottish descent from different areas of the United States - most notably from New York State and the Washington D.C. area - as well as children of 9/11 victims' families. For eligibility, rules and details, please see the website's overseas scholarships page, specifically the Ransome Trust Scholarship , UK 9/11 Scholarships, St. Andrew's Society of the State of New York and Saint Andrews Society of Washington D.C.

Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship
This program awards prizes that cover tuition, room, board, and mandatory fees during the junior and senior years of college and during the first year of graduate study with reimbursement for books and one round-trip travel costs for students committing to the pursuit of a graduate degree in international studies at graduate schools affiliated with the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation (WWNFF). Only U.S. citizens are eligible for this fellowship.
