Kol Nidre prayer service on WVOF

Fairfield University's radio station, WVOF-FM (88.5), will once again broadcast the Kol Nidre prayer service from Congregation B'nai Israel in Bridgeport on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 6:30 p.m. Music celebrating the Jewish High Holidays will begin at 6 p.m.

Rabbi James Prosnit, the spiritual leader of Congregation B'nai Israel and an adjunct professor of religious studies at Fairfield University, conducts the Yom Kippur prayer service in which Cantor Sheri Blum chants the pleading of the Kol Nidre prayer for the Jewish New Year of 5762. WVOF is especially concerned that the elderly and people who are homebound are aware of the broadcast so they may have access to this meaningful service.
