Whole Foods Market in Fairfield, CT, to donate 5% of sales on September 27, 2012, to benefit Fairfield University's Arts & Minds Programs

On Thursday, September 27, 2012, Whole Foods Market in Fairfield, Conn., one of the lead sponsors for the arts at Fairfield, will give back 5% of its net sales to Fairfield University's Arts & Minds programs presented by the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts and the Bellarmine Museum of Art. Patrons are asked to show their support for the Quick Center and its performing arts season as well exhibitions at the Quick Center's Thomas J. Walsh Art Gallery and the Bellarmine Museum of Art by shopping at Whole Foods Market in Fairfield, located minutes from campus, at 350 Grasmere Avenue, Fairfield, Conn., throughout the day (hours 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.). "Fairfield University's Arts & Minds programming offers a bountiful array of cultural and intellectual programming that enriches our region's wonderfully diverse community," said Quick Center Director Gary Wood. Besides participating in the September 27th "Give Back Day," The Whole Foods Market sponsorship is affiliated with several Quick Center performances, including the New Orleans Own Hot 8 Brass Band, Friday, 9/28/12 at 8 p.m.; The National Circus of the People's Republic of China, Friday, 11/2/12 at 8 p.m.; Bang on a Can All-Stars, Saturday, 1/26/13 at 8 p.m.; and SITI Company Café Variations on Friday, 3/1/13 at 8 p.m. In addition, the Whole Food Market sponsorship is affiliated with several upcoming exhibitions at the Bellarmine Museum of Art, including "The Essential Line:  Drawings from the Dahesh Museum of Art" (10/11/12-1/18/13); "Colleen Browning: The Early Works" (January 24-March 24, 2013); "Excavation: Recent Photographs by Stanley Greenberg" (April 12-June 14, 2013); and "Twenty-one Pueblos: Native American Pottery of the Southwest" (June 12-September 20, 2013).

The Bellarmine Museum of Art is located in Bellarmine Hall on the campus of Fairfield University, at 1073 N. Benson Road in Fairfield, Connecticut. Admission is free. The museum is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. when the University is in session, and will be open from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Oct. 13 (Family Day) during the run of this exhibition.
