Image: Barone Campus CenterArea Catholics are invited to attend an event at Fairfield University this Tuesday, May 22, called "Choosing a Bishop: A Forum for the Catholic People of the Diocese of Bridgeport," from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Oak Room, located in the Barone Campus Center.

Earlier this week, Bishop William Lori of the Diocese of Bridgeport was installed as Archbishop of Baltimore. This forum, sponsored by the Center for Catholic Studies at Fairfield University, will provide an opportunity for the Catholic people of the diocese (lay and clergy) to express their opinions on the kinds of personal qualities and talents they would like to see in their next bishop. The forum will ask participants to reflect on two questions:

  • What are the most important issues facing the diocese at the present time?
  • What qualities - personal, professional, and spiritual - do you think are desirable in the next bishop?

All the clergy and laity of the diocese are invited to participate in this conversation.

All Catholic Studies events held at Fairfield University are free and open to the public. For more information, please contact the Center for Catholic Studies Administrative Coordinator at (203) 254-4000, ext. 3415.
