On the Spot Improv
What: ON THE SPOT, Fairfield University's premiere long-form improv troupe, is performing this Sunday, October 2, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Fairfield Museum and History Center in Fairfield, CT, at the opening celebration for Bravo! A Century of Theatre in Fairfield County, a new exhibition curated by Dr. Marti LoMonaco. Fairfield University Professor and Director of Theatre.
When: ON THE SPOT will perform its half-hour show at 1 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2011, and will play improv games with museum visitors throughout the afternoon.

Why: With the curtain going up on Bravo! A Century of Theatre in Fairfield County, an exhibition applauding the rich history of theatre in Fairfield County, Sunday's opening day activities spotlight community theatre partners and begin at 1 p.m. with Fairfield University's award-winning comedy improve company, ON THE SPOT.
Taking a suggestion from the audience to start the show, ON THE SPOT then continues with a comedy improv performance where anything can happen. The newly cast ON THE SPOT company features Alicia Bisannette, Mike Elwell, Casey Grambo, Michael Maio, Andrew Nealis, Pam Perrimon, Tom Saporito, and Gabi Tozzi, and is directed by New York City-based Yvonne Conybeare. Since 1990, ON THE SPOT has been bringing comedy to the Fairfield University campus and throughout Fairfield County and New York City. It also regularly gives workshops for local high school students. The company is a multiple-award winner at the annual Improv Boston Beanpot College Comedy Competition.
