Fairfield University software engineering faculty member discusses cyber security

Wook-Sung Yoo, Ph.D., associate professor of software engineering at Fairfield University's School of Engineering, comments on the importance of cyber security. Dr. Yoo has been awarded more than $1.2 million in grants, including grants from the NASA Kennedy Space Center. Extensively published, his research interests include web technology, health informatics, and artificial intelligence. He serves on the National Science Foundation's Small Business Innovation Research panel.

Fairfield U.'s code debugger a hit

A Fairfield University software-engineering professor has gotten a $7,500 grant to refine his diagnostic tool for ensuring bug-free software, a tool that Connecticut companies, including Sikorsky Aircraft, General Electric and Pitney Bowes, and NASA can't wait to get their hands on... "This award is a great support for me to continue to build on my research in software engineering areas while providing opportunity for students at the school of engineering to be involved in research," said Yoo, who chairs the software engineering program.
