The Third Annual Lecture in Jewish-Christian Engagement hosted by Judaic Studies and Catholic Studies, invited Rev. John Palikowski, O.S.M., Professor of Ethics and Director of the Catholic-Jewish Studies Program at the Catholic Theological Union, to speak in March of 2009. His lecture was titled "Benedict XVI and the Jews: Change or Continuity?"

Judaic Studies hosted the Jewish New Year in October 2008 through a joyous Jewish fall harvest festival of Sukkot by building a sukkah. Students visited throughout the day to learn about the celebration.

Judaic Studies hosted Dr. Deborah Lipstadt, Director of Rabbi Donald A. Tam Institute for Jewish Studies and Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish & Holocaust Studies at Emory University. Her lecture, in September 2008, was called "Holocaust Denial: A New Form of Anti Semitism."
