Mark S. LeClair
Dr. Mark S. LeClair teaches International Finance and International Trade for the Department of Economics. He was responsible, along with Dr. Bharat Bhalla of the School of Business, for securing the original approval of the International Studies major back in 1994. Dr. LeClair taught The Global Environment, one of the original core courses of the major, for three years following the inception of the program.
Dr. LeClair has written two books in the field of international economics. The first, Regional Integration and Global Free Trade, was published by Ashgate in 1997. In the summer of 2000, he published his second book, International Commodity Markets and the Role of Cartels, with M.E. Sharpe. In addition to these two manuscripts, Dr. LeClair has presented articles in the international field on export composition and employment, and the promotion of Fair Trade by Alternative Trade Organizations.
