Director, Financial Aid
The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for the development and implementation of financial aid strategies, policies and procedures to serve the University's goals and establishes/maintains a service-oriented financial aid team. Serves as the Chief Compliance Officer for Title IV federal aid regulations and acts as a liaison between the Office of Financial Aid and the University's internal and external community. Provides demonstrated leadership in the use of new and existing technology. A Bachelor's degree is required and a Master's degree is expected or equivalent related experience will be considered. A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible financial aid experience, excellent supervisory and leadership skills, strong communications, interpersonal and computer technological skills are required. Knowledge of SCT Banner is a plus.
Operations Assistant, Institutional Research
Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research, the Operations Assistant is responsible for the preparation of documents for internal and external reports, creates online surveys from templates, provides data-collection services through IR files and University contacts, maintains the office budget, assists in limited planning of events, and aids the Director and Assistant Director in ad hoc IR-specific projects. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and/or demonstrated ability. Demonstrated computer skills, including office software (proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint), experience with or ability to learn university data reporting tool (i.e. Banner), mail merges and other e-mail functions, internet searches, administrative computing, and ability to learn new technologies as required. Demonstrated ability to prepare documents with accuracy and consistency, while handling confidential student records. Good organizational and communication skills. Two years’ experience in the management of a small office, preferably in higher education.
Paraprofessional/Service/Technical
Groundskeeper
The Groundskeeper provides day-to-day grounds maintenance services including snow removal during winter months, transports large deliveries of furniture/equipment and sets up for University functions. Also utilizes and ensures the proper maintenance and upkeep of all grounds vehicles and equipment. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and lift 50 pounds. Year-round outdoor work is necessary, including inclement weather conditions. Peak periods of overtime may be required as well as availability for emergency situations. A high school diploma or equivalent related experience is required and a minimum of 2-3 years experience as a groundskeeper, within a university environment is preferred. Possession of a valid Connecticut motor vehicle license is required and must be in good physical condition.
