Assistant Professor of Economics, Tenure-track
The Department of Economics invites applications for an approved full-time tenure-track position at the assistant professor level. The department's primary interest is in the area of Macroeconomics; expertise in monetary institutions a plus. The successful candidate will teach upper-level undergraduate courses in economics, and share in the department's commitment to teaching introductory economics courses that satisfy requirements in the University's core curriculum. A Ph.D. in economics completed by August 2012, an active research program, and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching are required.

Assistant or Associate Professor of Marriage & Family Therapy, Tenure Track
The Department of Marriage and Family Therapy in the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions at Fairfield University invites applications for a tenure-track position (open rank) to begin September 2012.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching in the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy
- Supervising Marriage and Family Therapy graduate students
- Pursuing research related to Marriage and Family Therapy
- Advising and mentoring Marriage and Family Therapy graduate students
- Supporting and maintaining the clinical training component of the program including work with the MFT Advisory Board, contributing to the development and expansion of services provided at the Koslow Center for Marriage and Family Therapy
- Contributing to the program's accreditation including program review, data collection, writing portions of the self study and participating in the planning and implementation of the site visit.
- Service to the program, the GSEAP, the wider university and the profession of Marriage and Family Therapy
Required qualifications:
- Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy preferred
- Clinical and supervisory experience in Marriage and Family Therapy
- Approved Supervisor status preferred or eligibility and willingness to obtain the credential
- Experience in a COAMFTE accredited program
- State license in Marriage and Family Therapy or license eligible
- Evidence of commitment and service to diverse populations and social justice
- Clear systemic model of therapy and supervision. Structural or Strategic clinical expertise preferred
- Demonstrated teaching ability on the graduate level
- A clear research agenda and publication record in the field

School of Engineering
Electrical Engineering Department Chair
The School of Engineering at Fairfield University is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Department Chair for Electrical Engineering. The beginning date for the position will be September 1, 2012. It is expected that this appointment will be a tenured or tenure-track position at the Associate Professor rank; however, other ranks will be considered. Areas of special interest include biological signals and signal conditioning, smart grids, and Green power systems. Other areas of specialization will be considered. Candidates must have a PhD in electrical engineering with outstanding academic credentials that demonstrate their ability to conduct independent research in their areas of expertise leading to peer-reviewed publications and external funding. Candidates must have excellent communications skills with a commitment to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The EE Department offers both BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering with several areas of specialization including micro- and nano-electronics, systems design, signal processing, and power and power electronics.

School of Nursing
Tenure Track Nursing Faculty Positions
Fairfield University, School of Nursing, invites applications for full-time tenure track faculty positions for the fall, 2012 academic year. The School of Nursing offers Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited baccalaureate and graduate degrees in nursing, with specialization in nurse anesthesia, family nurse practitioner, psychiatric nurse practitioner, clinical nurse leader, and healthcare management. The graduate program began admitting students to the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in fall 2010.
Responsibilities:
Scope of responsibility includes teaching, scholarship and service at the undergraduate and graduate level. Applicants should be prepared to teach various day and evening courses.
Qualifications:
- A doctorate in nursing or a master's degree in nursing with a doctorate in a related field
- Eligibility for Connecticut RN and/or APRN licensure
- Demonstrated record of research scholarship
