Employee Assistance Program
Fairfield University believes it is in the best interest of our employees, their families, and the University to make available an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which deals with personal and work-related problems.
The University recognizes that a wide range of human problems can adversely affect a valued employee's job performance and health. Such problems can include physical, mental, and emotional illness; marital or family distress; alcoholism or other drug dependencies; and financial or legal matters. We are also aware that problems with an employee's immediate family or among his/her close associates can cause serious concerns.
John Pacheco, our EAP Counselor, is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and a licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the State of Connecticut. He has been providing EAP services to Fairfield University since the inception of the program in 1982.
John has private office hours on campus each Tuesday, as well as at his private office in Stratford on all other days. His services are available free of charge to Fairfield University and Fairfield Prep personnel, their dependents, and retirees.
If you have questions, or would like to discuss a confidential matter, contact John at (203) 254-4000, ext. 2226 or at his private office in Stratford (203) 375-5782. Callers to his office and/or his voicemail should identify themselves as Fairfield University personnel. He may also be contacted via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
Confidentiality is strictly maintained.
