Eligible full-time staff have the option for health, dental, and prescription drug coverage under the Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield Century Preferred Plan or the Anthem Lumenos Health Savings Account (HSA) Plan. The plan also includes options for enhanced dental coverage or enhanced prescription drug, vision, and hearing aid coverage.
The Century Preferred plan is a managed care plan utilizing a system of Preferred Providers. It provides broad and comprehensive health care benefits including hospital coverage, medical/surgical coverage, and prescription drugs.
In November of each year, the University holds an "open enrollment" period, which allows employees to make changes in existing coverage.
Once a month, an Anthem representative is available in the Office of Human Resources to answer specific questions regarding coverage.
