The SHC has facilities that allow for extended observation for students needing a longer period of care. The infirmary beds are fully equipped for short stays and are accredited by the Connecticut State Department of Health.

Students in need of hospitalization will be transported to Bridgeport Hospital or St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. Students are requested to notify their parents of any hospitalization. In the case of a very serious illness or injury parents will be notified by the attending physician.
