A medical doctor will be available in the Student Health Center (SHC) during the times listed above. If a student would like to be seen by a physician, you need to schedule an appointment during those times.

A nurse practitioner is available seven days a week during the times listed above; no appointment is necessary to see a nurse practitioner.

A registered nurse is on duty in the SHC 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except for extended vacation periods when school is not in session and the SHC is closed.

Students coming for an examination outside the regular doctors' hours or for problems not of an urgent nature will be seen by the nurse and may be asked to return for care during regularly scheduled physician's or nurse practitioner's hours. Students requiring complete examinations for health forms, pre-employment, or travel are requested to arrange for visits to a doctor's office, since the student health fee does not cover such services.

Various types of pamphlets on health related subjects are readily available in the waiting area. Students may feel free to take one on any subject they are interested in. Health care information concerning all aspects of human sexuality and related topics may be also be obtained from the SHC.
