Research:
My scholarly research has focused on nineteenth and twentieth century Russian-American Relations. I am currently working on a study of American and British Quakers in Revolutionary Russia, 1916 to 1931.
I have also devoted a great deal of energy to scholarly and student exchange programs between the United States and Russia, and am the Director of the Fairfield at Herzen American Studies Resource Center, St. Petersburg Russia.
