Matriculation / Continuation
To remain in good academic standing, a student must achieve a 3.00 cumulative quality point average upon completion of the first 12 semester hours. A student whose cumulative quality point average falls below 3.00 in any semester is placed on academic probation for the following semester. Students on academic probation must meet with their advisor to program adjustment to their course load. If the overall average is again below 3.00 at the end of the semester, the student may be dismissed.
Continuation in a state certification program requires performance above the minimum academic level in advanced courses and field experiences, and the recommendation of the area faculty.
