I work full time. Will classes fit in to my schedule?
The graduate programs at Fairfield University allow individuals with full-time jobs the flexibility to pursue their studies conveniently on a part-time basis. Classes are held evenings, weekends, and online.

What are the application deadlines?
- Charles F. Dolan School of Business: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
- College of Arts and Sciences:Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
- Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions (GSEAP): Varies per program.

Is financial aid available? How do I apply for financial aid?
A limited number of graduate and student activities assistantships are awarded each year to full-time students, and the School of Engineering provides modest scholarships to select students. Students may also take advantage of several options to help defray educational expenses. These include Federal Stafford Loans, available in amounts up to $20,500 per year, and employer tuition reimbursement. In addition, Fairfield University offers several deferred payment options for eligible students. For further information, call the Office of Financial Aid at (203) 254-4125.
Do I need to take the GRE or another standardized test?
Test scores specified by the program to which you are applying must be submitted.
No test scores are required for graduate programs in the College of Arts & Sciences, or the School of Engineering. In the School of Nursing, GRE's are required for the Nurse Anesthesia Program only.
- Charles F. Dolan School of Business: Applicants are required to complete the GMAT. Test results should be forwarded directly to the School of Business.
- GSEAP: Applicants to the School Counseling, School Media Specialist, School Psychology and all other teacher preparation certification programs must submit PRAXIS I PPST or CBT passing scores or waiver. Before a decision will be made on an application, passing scores or waiver must be on file. Applicants who took the SAT on or before March 31,1995, and who earned a combined score of 1000 with at least 400 in the verbal and mathematics subtests; or who took the SAT on or after April 1,1995, and who earned a combined score of 1100 with 450 in the verbal and mathematics subtests may be eligible for waivers. Call the dean's office at (203) 254-4250 for a PRAXIS bulletin, waiver application, or further information. Please use school code RA3390 to report PRAXIS I and PRAXIS II scores to Fairfield University.

Can I pay my tuition bill with a credit card? Can I pay online?
Payments may be made in the form of cash (in person only), check, money order, MasterCard, VISA, or American Express. If registering online, payment must be made in full and can be made online with electronic check (ACH) or credit card. For more information, visit Billing Information. Is there a time limit to complete a program?
Most students complete their degrees in approximately 2-4 years, depending on the program and the number of courses taken each semester, and must be completed within 5 years of the first course taken.

I just want to take graduate-level courses at Fairfield University. How can I do this?
Most programs allow interested candidates who would like to take one or two courses before formal admission to enroll through the Non-martriculated Student Status option. This option allows you to test your interests and to evaluate the appropriateness of the program you are considering.
Can I transfer credits?
Transfer of credit from another approved institution of higher learning will be allowed if it is graduate work done after the completion of a bachelor's program and completed prior to entering Fairfield University. In most cases, no more than six credits may be transferred. Please contact your advisor for an evaluation.
Transfer credit will be considered for graduate coursework earned with a grade of B or better. An official transcript of the work done must be received before a decision will be made on approving the transfer.
