What services does the Office of Foundation Relations offer?
Faculty and staff of the Fairfield University community work with the Office of Foundation Relations on the following:
- Consultation on institutional protocol, project development, and budget guidelines.
- Training in foundation research and/or grant writing.
- Access to funding trends and statistics, news, and RFP (request for funding) opportunities.
- Identification of funding prospects and research.
- Facilitation of letter of inquiry and proposal submissions including final review, letters of support, and mailing.
What resources are available to faculty and staff?
- CFG (Corporate, Foundation, Government) Grants Web Site - The CFG Grants Web Site is available on the University's Intranet for faculty and staff, providing them with a wide variety of tools and resources related to the pursuit of corporate, foundation, and government funding. Information regarding the process of working with the three grants offices is included along with generic information applicable across all three areas. Staff can contact the Office of Foundation Relations for further information about accessing this resource.
- Training Sessions - The CFG offices offer the University community introductory training sessions during the academic year. These sessions are tailored to the process involved in securing funding from corporate, foundation, and government sources. Topics covered related to foundation fundraising include:
- Campus resources
- Working with corporate, foundation, and government relations
- Project development
- Developing letters of inquiry, proposals, and budgets
- Identifying and assessing funding prospects
