Special Projects: Campus Ministry

Imagine the promise that endowment funds could hold for Campus Ministry, where liturgical, retreat, and service activities engage hundreds of students each year in exploring and living out the values inherent in a Jesuit education.

"I continually come back to what I learned as a Mission Volunteer in Ecuador," says Rob McCann '90, who travels the world as a program evaluator for Catholic Relief Services. "I didn't realize then what a lasting impact it would have." Kristen Record '99 (M.A. Harvard '00), a physics teacher, echoes the same. "Campus Ministry programs and retreats gave me the chance to explore the role faith plays in my life," she reflects. "Now when I ask myself, 'Am I successful?' I have more than one way to measure it."

Rob and Kristen are but two of hundreds of students whose lives have been touched and whose faith has been strengthened by Campus Ministry at Fairfield University. Endowing a permanent fund to support its work offers yet another way to build on the faith, hope, and promise of Fairfield's founding Jesuits.
