Admission Criteria for MBA & MS Degrees

U.S. Students and International Students

After all program prerequisites are completed or in progress, students who hold a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or the international equivalent as validated by WES (World Education Service) and who have demonstrated their ability or potential to do high quality academic work are encouraged to apply.

Program prerequisites for the MBA:

BS Degree including coursework in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Calculus, and Elementary Statistics

Program prerequisites for the MS in Finance:

BS Degree including coursework in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Calculus, Elementary Statistics, and Financial Accounting

Program prerequisites for the MS in Accounting:

BS Degree in Accounting including coursework in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Calculus, and Elementary Statistics.

Program prerequisites for the MS in Taxation:

BS Degree in Accounting including coursework in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Calculus, Elementary Statistics, Federal Income Tax I and Federal Income Tax II.

Admissions Formula:

Consistent with the requirements of the AACSB, the criteria for admission to all graduate programs will be an appropriate undergraduate grade point average and an appropriate score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

The formula score for admissions is, generally, 1100, arrived at by multiplying the applicant's grade point average by 200 and adding that product to the GMAT score. As a practical matter, this will in most cases mean an undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.00 accompanied by a GMAT score of at least 500.

In addition, the admission process will require complete official transcripts of all undergraduate work, including program prerequisites: statistics, college-level math, microeconomics and macroeconomics, two letters of recommendation, and a self-evaluation of work experience. A Committee on Graduate Admissions will review the applications and select those who will be accepted into the program.
