William L. Atwell
Atwell Associates LLC
Managing Director
Mr. Atwell recently retired as an executive vice president from The Charles Schwab Corporation where he was instrumental in the turnaround of the company's retail business as well as the launch of the Charles Schwab Bank. Prior to Schwab, Mr. Atwell served CIGNA Corporation as Senior Vice President of National Sales & Delivery Network overseeing sales and HMO operations including a staff of over 12,000 in 44 states. Mr. Atwell served Citibank/Citicorp for over 20 years in executive positions both in the U.S. and internationally. He started with the company as a financial analyst, he soon moved into management roles overseeing branches and credit operations and eventually the upstate New York commercial banking subsidiary with total assets of $5 billion serving the communities of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica and Albany.

Christopher S. Cardell

Christopher S. Cardell has been a director, President and Chief Operating Officer of Jupitermedia since its inception. Previously, Mr. Cardell was President and Chief Operating Officer of Mecklermedia from November 1997, and a director from February 1997 until it was acquired by Penton Media in November 1998. Prior to November 1997, Mr. Cardell held the office of Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Mecklermedia. He joined Mecklermedia as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in January 1996. Prior to that time, Mr. Cardell was a Senior Manager with Arthur Andersen LLP.

Frank J. Carroll, III

Mr. Carroll co-heads emerging market equities with Mr. Jensen at Oaktree Capital Management, as a Managing Director. Prior to joining Oaktree in 1999 to be head trader of emerging market equities, he was the head of distressed debt for Columbus Advisors LLC, where he worked for two years. Mr. Carroll previously was the head trader for Latin American Fixed Income at Banco Santander and Bankers Trust. For six years prior to joining Bankers Trust, Mr. Carroll was an emerging markets trader for Salomon Brothers Inc. He received his B.A. in History from Fairfield University.

Steve joined York International Companies in 2005 as a Senior Vice President and Principal. Prior to joining York, he was employed with Marsh Inc. for 10 years. During Steve's tenure at Marsh, he served clients as a Broker, Client Executive and most recently as Senior Vice President and Group Leader in charge of the Connecticut Middle Market Client Executive Practice. Steve started his career working with Chubb & Son for 6 years. He graduated from Fairfield University in with a BS in Finance.

Christopher Desmarais

Christopher C. Desmarais, Senior Vice President of GAMCO, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gabelli Asset Management Inc., is the Director of Institutional Marketing. Mr. Desmarais, appointed Director of GAMCO's Socially Responsive Investments (SRI) in March 2003 - where assets have grown over 75% in the past few years to over half a billion dollars - recently has taken on the additional responsibility of overseeing the firm's institutional investment marketing efforts. Mr. Desmarais' responsibilities include marketing the firm's separate account capabilities directly to Consultants, Corporate Plan Sponsors, Taft Hartley Plans, Foundations and Endowments. Mr. Desmarais is a graduate of Fairfield University with a BA in Economics.

Robert J. Haller

Vice President - Controller
Bob joined American Home Products Corporation (now Wyeth) in 1987 as Director of Internal Audit and in 1992 he was promoted to Corporate Comptroller. Bob held a number of Finance positions over the next several years including Vice President - Finance for the U.S. Consumer Healthcare Division; V.P. - Finance for the International Pharmaceutical Division and V.P. - CFO of Wyeth Research. In 2003, Bob was appointed Vice President - Controller of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to joining Wyeth, Bob worked for AMAX Inc., a diversified mining, oil and gas and aluminum manufacturing company, holding various financial positions. He had also worked for four years for Arthur Andersen & Co. after he earned his B.S. Degree in Accounting from Fairfield University in 1976. Bob is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs.

Kevin J. Kelleher
President & Chief Executive Officer

Kevin J. Kelleher is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cartus Corporation.

With nearly twenty-five years of relocation industry experience, Kevin J. Kelleher has developed and managed a progressive range of businesses for Cartus, including corporate group moves, international assignments, private label affinity programs, policy design and consulting, diversity initiatives, and government and military programs. He is responsible for over 2,800 global employees with offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, Mr. Kelleher oversees over 1,200 corporate, government and military clients in Cartus' portfolio.

Prior to becoming President and CEO, Mr. Kelleher was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cartus' destination services unit, where he was charged with successfully developing local destination strategy and affinity efforts. He has also held senior leadership positions in sales, client relations, network management and strategic planning.

Mr. Kelleher received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairfield University.

Christopher McCormick
President & Chief Executive Officer

Chris McCormick became President and CEO of L.L.Bean, Inc. in May 2001. In 1977, after graduating from Fairfield University, he began his career in marketing and accepted a position as Media Buyer with Garden Way, Inc. He became Marketing Manager and remained with the company until 1983.

Chris was particularly drawn to L.L.Bean because it was a family-owned company bound by the principles of honesty, integrity, respect for people and a love of the outdoors. In 1983, he accepted the position of assistant advertising manager for the company. In the years that followed, he earned a succession of promotions. In May 2001, upon Leon Gorman's move to Chairman of the Board, he became the first non-family member to assume the title, of President and CEO of L.L.Bean, Inc.

Under Chris McCormick's leadership, L.L.Bean has emerged as an industry leader in brand management, customer loyalty and marketing database systems.

Andrew J. McMahon
Executive Vice President of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company
AXA Financial

Andrew J. McMahon is Executive Vice President of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company and a member of the company's Executive Management Committee. He is also Chairman of AXA Advisors, LLC, the company's retail distribution channel, and has management responsibility for the organization's 6,000 financial professionals and 54 branch offices nationwide and in Puerto Rico.

Mr. McMahon joined AXA Equitable in March 2005 as Senior Vice President to launch the company's Strategic Initiatives Group. In that role, he was responsible for helping shape, drive, and implement our slate of strategic initiatives for accelerating revenue growth, including building several components of our "At Retirement" business. He was promoted to Executive Vice President and elected to the company's Executive Management Committee in September 2005, and named Chief Operating Officer of AXA Advisors in November 2005.

Prior to joining AXA Equitable, Mr. McMahon was a Principal at McKinsey & Co. and served as a Life Insurance Practice Leader in North America. During his tenure at McKinsey, his work centered on distribution and strategy solutions for the retail and third-party distribution operations of many life insurance industry leaders. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. McMahon spent several years in management positions with various business divisions of General Electric.

Mr. McMahon earned a BS from Fairfield University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

 

Robert M. McMahon
GE Commercial Finance
Managing Director/National Restructuring Group

Rob is a Managing Director at GE Commercial Finance, leading its National Restructuring Group, which this year celebrated its 5th straight year atop the Bankruptcy Lending League tables.

In 2003 through 2005, Rob held the position of Chief Operating Officer at GE's Commercial & Industrial Finance group, where he led 2 business integrations, and aided that unit's CEO in day-to-day operations. Prior to that time he was appointed to the role of Six Sigma Leader, and obtained certification as a Quality Leader.

Rob originally joined GE Commercial Finance in 2000, when he was hired into its Structured Assets Group to help oversee the recovery of an investment portfolio of financially distressed companies operating in a wide variety of industries.

Rob was born in the Bronx, New York. He graduated from Fairfield University with a B.A. in Economics, and obtained an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

John R. O'Neill
America's Director
Ernst & Young-Private Equity
John is the Firm's Director of Private Equity as well as a Tax Partner in the New York Area Transaction Advisory Services Group. He specializes in tax issues relating to M&A structuring and due diligence. Prior to joining Ernst & Young in May 2002, John spent 24 years with Arthur Anderson where he was the managing partner of Anderson's global private equity practice and the US Transaction Advisory Services Practice.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Public Accountants.

John has a B.S. in Accounting from Fairfield University and an M.B.A. in Taxation from the Iona Graduate School of Business.

Oliver Patrell

Former Chairman of the Board (Retired)
Oliver Patrell, prior to retirement, served as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive and President of Colonial Penn Insurance Company during the period 1991-1996. Previously, he served as Chief Executive, Chairman, and President of Empire Insurance Group of New York. In 1994 he became Chief Executive and Vice Chairman of La Caja de Oro y Seguros, the largest insurance company in Argentina.

Kevin C. Piccoli, CPA

Kevin C. Piccoli, CPA joined the Bank of New York Company, Inc. in May 2001 as the Chief Auditor. He is an executive vice president and chief auditor responsible for the global audit function. In this role, he was responsible for the global audit function and reports directly to the Audit and Examining Committee of the Board of Directors. Kevin is a member of the Bank's Sensitive Issues Oversight Committee, Disclosure Committee, Technology Oversight Committee, Operational Risk Committee, and Market Risk Committee. Kevin has recently been asked to establish a corporate consulting group which focuses on business reengineering, product enhancements, and other strategic initiatives. Additionally, Kevin is an integral member of The Bank of New York/Mellon Financial Integration Team.

Prior to the Bank of New York, Kevin was the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was responsible for Cantor's global accounting, regulatory, management reporting and treasury functions. Kevin was also the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of eSpeed, Inc. where, along with the above responsibilities, he was responsible for Investor Relations. Prior to joining Cantor and eSpeed in July 1999, Kevin was Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Greenwich Capital Holdings, Inc.

Ernest Pittarelli

Ernest Pittarelli is Chief Operating Officer of Sailfish Capital. The hedge fund, located in Stamford, was started by Sal Naro, formerly of UBS, and Mark Fishman from SAC. The fund is primarily a credit focused fund. Prior to joining Sailfish Capital, Mr. Pittarelli was Managing Director, Head of Operations for the Americas for UBS Securities LLC.

Joseph D. Sargent

Former President/CEO

Joseph D. Sargent, retired on December 31, 2002 from Guardian Life. Sargent retired after a 43-year career with the company serving as President and CEO since 1996.Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, he held the offices of senior vice president, health insurance; senior vice president, individual life insurance; and executive vice president. In addition, Joe is an active member and past chairman and director of many national and state insurance industry councils, including the Life Insurance Council of New York, and is a much sought-after guest lecturer and well-regarded writer in the field. He will remain a member of the company's board of directors. He has sat on the board since 1993.

Maive F. Scully

Maive Scully is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of GE Money in Stamford. Beginning in 1976, Scully held various financial management positions with GE and GE Capital. She was named Vice President, Finance for GE Consulting Services in 1988; Portfolio Manager for GE Capital Services in 1990; and Chief Financial Officer for GE Capital's Structured Finance Group in 1992.

Scully's time at GE has been characterized by "learning and change." Within the company, she held 15 different positions spanning five major businesses. "I've worked with bankrupt airlines, telecom startups, and Fortune 100 companies," Scully says. "I've traveled around the world and worked with people from all around the globe."

Kevin C. Shea
Vice President

Kevin Shea is a Vice President in the Fixed Income Currency and Commodities Division at Goldman Sachs.

Kevin has spent his entire career at Goldman. He traded US Treasury Debt for 13 years then moved to London for 4 years to manage their Central Bank Sales effort. He returned to the United States in 2003 as a senior sales person covering Hedge Fund investors. Kevin is a 1987 graduate of Fairfield University.

Steven Siwinski

Partner, Transaction Advisory Services
Steven is a partner in Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services Practice, which provides M&A due diligence and advisory services to corporate and private equity clients. He is a certified public accountant with over 14 years of experience at Ernst & Young.

For the past 11 years, Steven has provided transaction advisory services to clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail and consumer products, media, business services, internet, healthcare and financial services. His deal experience includes due diligence projects involving stand-alone, carve-out, start-up and roll-up transactions. He has advised clients on transaction structure, financial modeling, SEC matters, and accounting and reporting issues. Steven has experience managing transactions involving businesses with multi-national operations and has worked on several cross-border M&A transactions involving companies with operations in Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, Netherlands, Scandinavia and the UK.

Steven received a B.S. in accounting and finance from Fairfield University and an M.B.A. in finance and management strategy from New York University's Stern School of Business, where he was a Stern Scholar and graduated with honors.

Steven is a certified public accountant in New York and Pennsylvania and a member of the AICPA.
