Double Major: Finance & Information Systems

"I chose Fairfield because it's small, and the fact that it is Jesuit was important to me, too. The core liberal arts courses gave me a well-rounded education. My classes were great, and the professors were always available. Just as important, the classes involve real life experience. In one class, for example, we learned system feasibility and analysis, then had to implement the system with our teammates. In my finance class, we used Excel spreadsheets to evaluate a company and determine if it was properly valued. We were constantly using skills like teamwork, data gathering, communication, and presentation. In my internship at Morgan Stanley, which I got through the Career Planning Office, I used applications that we've worked on in class, and the internship has turned into a job!"
