Password change self-serviceWith the 90-day password expiration policy now in place for better security, more users have had difficulties remembering their new passwords or have simply experienced password related problems in general. In an effort to facilitate the password reset process for both faculty and staff, C&NS is in the process of implementing and integrating a software package proposed by the Capstone project team.
This self service password reset system will lead to less downtime, no time spent on the phone on hold, and no need for intervention by the C&NS staff. The service will be available from any computer (Mac or PC) with a network connection. Passwords can be securely reset 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At first, it will be offered on campus. After the initial rollout and some fine-tuning, it will be available from off campus. If you would like to enroll in the service, please contact the CNS Helpdesk at ext. 4069. |
