Cablecaster increases availability of CTN broadcasts

Programming on Campus Television Network can now run anytime, any day. The new Tightrope mPeg2 server automatically runs play-lists from a giant hard drive where digitized programming has been stored. This enhancement to our closed circuit television system provides professors, students and staff with 1344 hours of available programming time per week on our eight private television channels compared with 240 hours of available time before the new Cablecast was installed this month.  For more information on scheduling programs for CTN broadcast, contact Karen Connolly, ext. 2724.
