New PBX Telephone Switch

Significant progress has been made in the process to replace the existing campus PBX telephone switch. Six vendors have responded to the Fairfield Request for Proposal and our consultant (Nelson Communications) is currently evaluating the responses to reduce the number of finalists to two or three. Staff will then attend equipment demonstrations and a successful manufacturer will be selected to supply and install the updated system. A number of requested new features will be available with the new equipment in addition to the basic telephone service offerings.
