Design projects include uniquely packaged (Mission Statement)The University's Mission Statement will be presented in a unique way with a print piece designed by the Media Center. With the goal of creating an inviting, interesting presentation of the Mission Statement, the design includes the use of color, die cuts, and a varnished seal to provide visual "pop." The print piece is a part of a project initiated by Jim Fitzpatrick to bring the Mission Statement to "life." The project began with the request for a video (currently being produced) where the seal is used as a portal to visual interpretations of the Statement. The print piece and the video complement each other echoing selected design elements and punctuating the important words of the Statement. Both products will be presented to freshmen during September's orientation.
Soon we will launch a new design for the Media Center web site. The site will be part of a coordinated public relations package that will include new brochures and a kiosk within Xavier Hall.
Other Media Center design work includes new web pages for the Ignatian College and for the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. Also, we are discussing new visual displays for the Kelley building with Admissions. |
