In addition career interest inventories can help you measure skills, abilities, values, interests and personality characteristics to help identify potential careers.
Students are encouraged to set up an individual meeting with a counselor to develop a personal career plan. The Career Planning Center offers the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator to all Fairfield University undergraduate students. In addition on line resources such as Career Key Career Key www.ncsu.edu/careerkey can help students explore their interests and how they relate to occupations.
Whether you're headed for the job market, graduate school or service work planning ahead can increase your chances of gathering the necessary skills and experiences to successfully break into your chosen field.
The Fairfield Alumni Network (FAN)
The FAN program provides students with the opportunity to directly contact alumni working in industries, occupations or job functions that they have an interest in pursuing.
