Gmail for Students is Here
If you've already claimed your account, log in to Student Gmail.
Computing & Network Services is happy to announce that the University has collaborated with Google to make Google Apps for Education available to all Fairfield students. From Gmail and Google Docs to Google Calendar and Google Sites, the new system will bring valuable benefits to your online work, including searchable e-mail, enhanced spam filtering, personal websites, and an extraordinary 25GB storage quota per student.
To use the new student Gmail account, you need to activate, or "claim," your account. The account claim process provides your new username and password, known as a NetID. Begin the process by going to the Fairfield University NetID website and following the instructions.
Once the claim process is complete, your new NetID/email username will appear on the screen. The format for student Gmail addresses is firstname.lastname@student.fairfield.edu. NetID user names are firstname.lastname and can be used to log onto a variety of University systems (i.e. Eidos, my.Fairfield, Library Resources, etc.).
