E-mail and Accounts


NetID Account

Staff and full-time faculty are given a NetID that allows them to connect to the university servers and shared resources from their office.  Some of the resources that can be accessed with this account are Exchange E-mail, Stagweb, network storage, and Banner GUI.  A C&NS technician will be assigned to help you setup you account and provide you with more information. 

Exchange E-mail

All new staff members and full-time as well as adjunct faculty are given an e-mail mailbox on the university Exchange server.  This mailbox is accessed using Microsoft Outlook (or Entourage for Mac users) and is linked to your NetID account.  All staff must use Exchange for e-mail. Exchange mailboxes can also we accessed on the web at www.fairfield.edu/mail.

StagWeb Account

StagWeb is a personalized web interface that includes an easy way to communicate announcements, convenient links to sites both on- and off-campus, and more. Staff and faculty can access employee information such as pay stubs, benefits, and tax information by selecting the Employee tab and following the links within the Employee Services channel.  Faculty members can view student information or post grades by accessing the Academics tab and the corresponding links in the Student/Info or Faculty Self Service channels. Faculty also can use a straightforward class management system called Course Studio.

StagWeb training is offered throughout the year.

Banner Account

Banner is the administrative system for the University. Student and alumni records, financial data, HR and payroll information are stored in this system. Depending on an employee’s job function, Banner access may/may not be granted.
